Roadtrip First Stop: Mantianak Zoological and Botanical Park
Last weekend, my sister together with her friends and me (but I’m more of a hitcher) has decided to go on a road trip. From Cagayan de Oro City to our hometown Gingoog City. It was not on the plan to check this place out but that’s the true essence of roadtrip, right? To drop by on random places and just plainly enjoy the journey, and that’s what we definitely did.
Our first stop was Mantianak Zoological and Botanical Park.
This Place was really divine and it never fails to amaze me every single time.
I’ve been here before, last new year 2013 and still the feeling I have the first time I stepped a foot here is still the feeling I’m wearing that very day I revisit.
I just love nature, the cute animals and the silence of the place. The pony is my ultimate favorite, though he just keeps on eat and eat grasses. Jack-jack is my newly addition to my favorites on this place, he’s a couple months old cub, he’s so adorable that I wanna take him home.
Here are my moments as I go exploring the place, My sister, as always, has taken my photos. Too bad I was not prepared for a photoshoot but I regret nothing, my outfit that day was perfect for an adventure.
Call me jHude the Explorer!! Dora just this time give me the spotlight please 🙂
So here I am welcoming you like I own the place.
You know, Silly me.
This was supposedly a picnic area but a strike of idea hits my sister’s mind and boom. I don’t know how to portray suspense-themed photos, so this happened. Is it good enough?
You just don’t know how big they are when they’re near while you’re feeding them leafy stuff, they can totally swallow your whole arm. Nah, I was just kidding 🙂
So here I am with the rabbits. I got one like this from my bff but sadly Bonnie (My rabbit-pet’s name) died.
That really made me cry since it was a present for my 17th Birthday still I am hoping to get another one soon.
The Pony bow!! I don’t have much words but he just takes my breathe away. The caretaker says he do practices martial arts, so I was like “beware of the back legs.”
Here we go everyone 🙂 Jack-jack himself.
They also have this small, colorful playground just in case kids might feel hyper activate and here I am feeling like a kid.
I don’t know what or why I’ve been looking up there. Can you check it out too? For me?
So uh, I’ll leave you with this photo. This was the best shot my sister has took that day, she said it herself. The photo felt like I’m a true Filipina at heart which is totally me.
I’ll post pictures with the people I am with in my next blog entry but for now I hope this is enough. If your interested, you can visit the place yourself. It was located along the highway at Sugbongcogon, Misamis Oriental. It can be found right then. Feel the way I feel, it was really worth revisiting.
